Mr. Douglas Murch (Chief Executive Officer) acquired extensive background in systems development and systems engineering over 30 high-profile national programs throughout his 23-year Air Force career (Lt. Colonel USAF/Retired).
During this time he held numerous engineering and program management positions with broad experience in detailed engineering and analysis, project management, technical team development, personnel and financial management, facility management, development and operational testing of complex systems, operations, and executive leadership,.
Over the last two years he led the business and technology development effort for a public aerospace company gaining critical experience in the civilian sector with a special emphasis in solar energy technologies in support of the venture. This set of skills and experience strongly support those required to spawn this business development and bring the BridgeTech Industries solar thermal system to market.
Mr. Murch holds Bachelors of Science in Physics and Electrical Engineering, and a Masters in Public Administration. He is a graduate of the highly acclaimed U.S. DOD Defense Systems Management College and has logged flight test time in numerous test aircraft.
Dr. Michael Matarrese (Chief Technical Officer) has over 20 years experience as an engineer, including several years of close work as an aerodynamicist with famous airplane designer Burt Rutan, recent winner of the X-Prize with SpaceShipOne.
He has been involved with the design, development, and (in several cases) flight test of six aircraft, including Proteus, the very successful high-altitude long-endurance aircraft presently serving the aerospace and atmospheric science communities; most recently, his work has been in the field of lighter-than-air vehicles, where he has been working towards the development of a practical high-altitude long-endurance airship and its associated regenerative power system.
Dr. Matarrese has provided independent consulting services in aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, performance analysis, vehicle preliminary design and optimization, and software development.
He brings to the BridgeTech team extensive knowledge of gas dynamics, conceptual design, significant practical experience in system development, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a highly creative approach to engineering.
His formal education includes a Ph.D. (specialization in fluid mechanics) and B.S. (Summa cum Laude) in Aerospace Engineering from the highly regarded programs at the University of Michigan and Ohio State University, respectively.
Dr. Richard Skaife (Chief Operations Officer) has 23 years experience in the UK Military before embarking upon his second career in the commercial sector, where he has 18 years experience as a business executive, with extensive experience in operational aspects of high tech start up businesses gained initially in the telecommunications sector.
Richard has successfully delivered $multimillion telecommunications systems in international environments. He brings significant intellectual and business skills together with significant operational and organisational capability to BridgeTech Industries.
He is an innovative and creative thinker who is competent at both Board and detailed engineering level. Experienced people manager, team leader and innovative team player (invented several patents and in 1999 initiated business idea for public wireless broadband hotspot broadband operations in Europe). He has led several technical initiatives in the terrestrial and satellite mobile communications industry with experience gained in ORANGE, Asia Cellular Satellite, ICO Global Communications, NORTEL, Inmarsat as well as an independent consultant.
He is a Chartered Engineer, member of the UK Energy Institute and has a PhD in Telecommunications Security.
